The main road location comes with an early morning downside: trucks start going by and honking from as early as 5am. Still, the staff are friendly, helpful, and speak good English. The family dinners in the evening are tasty and great value, and breakfast is free and very good. Tea and coffee are available all day without limit.

They serve tasty, healthy homemade food, including sauerkraut and sourdough rye bread. There’s also a lively social side, with things like English classes for local kids. The accommodation is decent for a budget stay, and the friendly staff speak English and are happy to help or offer advice.

I’ve traveled around the world as a blogger and stayed in plenty of hostels, but this one has something special. The host is so friendly, and I’d definitely recommend the place.

The evening meals bring everyone together around the table, which gives the place a real communal feel. The staff are really nice, too.
