Seems okay, considering everything.
The staff weren't helpful or enthusiastic. When I told them the tap water was yellow, they just said to flush it myself. The room was old, and the sheets were discolored and smelled damp. The TV wouldn't turn on either. The price didn't match the quality. NOT RECOMMENDED TO STAY HERE.
The rooms were clean and quiet, and the price was reasonable. The male staff were cheerful, friendly, and enthusiastic. Everything about the hotel left me very satisfied.
We ended up changing hotels the next morning to salvage our trip. I had complained at length, but the response felt dismissive. We’d come with my elderly parents for a relaxing family stay, and the whole day turned into dealing with problems instead. It was like an involuntary 24-hour gameshow. We arrived in Dalat at 7 am and paid the 325,000 VND early check-in surcharge for our room at Grand Center Dalat By Lilly Hotel, which cost 650,000 VND a night. With my elderly parents along, I hoped we could get some rest. Instead, the shower was broken, and only the lower tap worked, so my elderly father had to sit down to shower. We had to ask for another room. The replacement room didn't look like the advertised photos. The furniture was old, it felt stuffy, and there was a faint musty smell, as if it hadn't seen sunlight in years. The tap water was yellow like tea, so we tried to use as little as possible. The TV didn't work. The receptionist checked it and apologized, but nothing came of it. The hairdryer also stopped working suddenly, and I had to run downstairs to borrow another one with my hair still wet in the cold Da Lat weather. It felt like a survival challenge. Around lunchtime, a passenger got stuck in the elevator, and we heard calls for help in the hallway. At night it was noisy, with almost no soundproofing and karaoke near our room going on until late. The lighting was just one switch, either bright like a stage or dark like a horror movie, and there were no bedside lamps. One more thing: the hotel is on a one-way street near the city center, so taxis have to take a fairly long detour to get in and out, which noticeably raises fares. Keep that in mind if you use taxis often. I hope the hotel improves so future guests don't have to pay to take part in the kind of gameshow my family got.
The staff were helpful and friendly, and the rooms were spacious and quiet. It’s right in the city center. I was extremely satisfied with my stay during my recent trip to Da Lat.
