Hoang Minh Chau Hotel

The room was suffocating, with too few vents, and the TV didn’t work. Reception said they’d replace it, but nothing about the stay was pleasant except the location. There was visible mold in the rooms, ants on the bed, and cockroaches on the floor. Everything felt dirty, and the shower drain was full of hair, like it had never been cleaned. I’ve visited Vietnam many times and stayed at plenty of hotels, but this has to be the worst one I’ve experienced there. It’s outdated, and I’m definitely never coming back.

It’s very close to the center, which was the only good thing about the place. Everything felt old and unclean, and the room was stuffy and smelled musty. My family had to ask for a fan to air it out. The location is very good, but I definitely won’t be back.

Phu was very kind and even showed me the local park and tai chi dancing classes. I stayed for two weeks in February and found it good value. The staff were decent and did a good job, and my room had very good AC, which I appreciated in Saigon's hot, dry weather. It was the only hotel in this price range with international stations like CNN, BBC, and TV5. Thanks to Phu for her hospitality, and best wishes for the future.

The location is excellent, right in the center near the market. The hotel seems quite new, but the facilities aren't especially well designed or good quality. Most rooms are small and have no window, though about three rooms have windows overlooking the city. Breakfast isn't included, and the price feels higher than the value.
