Lalaland Homestay

The rooms aren't insulated well, so be aware of that. Still, Lalaland has an old Dalat feel that's hard to find now. It may look run-down at first, but the rugged decor is lovely, and they offer bike rentals along with some very makeshift meals. The whole place is just exquisite.

There's a simple menu at this nice cafe, which has an unusual steel-frame design, a good layout, and a lovely garden. It also has a few “Homestay” rooms, though I didn't stay in one, so I can't say what they're like. Seems like a nice place for people in their twenties.

The dorm we stayed in looked beautiful, but it was noisy. I imagine some of the other rooms are quieter and offer more privacy. The young hosts were friendly and seemed to enjoy being there, which made the stay feel more comfortable. And don't miss cuddling the cute sheep and the 3 cats. Lalaland is worth a visit even for just a day or night. The architecture and design are inspiring, and there's nowhere else like it in Da Lat. It's quite far from town, but that shouldn't be a problem if you don't mind taking a cap. Even if you can't stay, stop in for a coffee or juice and have a look around.

A room for two costs about 450,000 dong and includes breakfast. There are also dorms. This is a cozy homestay, with comfort, decor, and location all rating four out of five, while the price gets five. It's roughly 5 km outside the city center. A Grab or taxi is about 45,000 Dong, but I'd suggest renting a motorcycle for 150,000 dong a day instead.
