Mr Peace Backpackers House

I enjoyed my four or five nights here. It’s a quieter, family-run hostel on a small, low-traffic street, while still being very central. Just, the "Sausage dog" could use a diet ;-)

We weren’t guests at the hostel, but Ms. Pretty kindly let us leave our backpacks there while we explored the city. That little favor made the day much easier, and showed how welcoming the place feels. The dorm looked clean and cozy, and the atmosphere seemed relaxed and traveler-friendly. Thanks so much, Ms. Pretty, you’re amazing!

The welcome and staff were fantastic, and the dorm beds were the best I’ve seen, almost the size of a double bed. Everything was clean and welcoming, with free tea and breakfast. It’s a quiet alley in the busy heart of DaLat, and the value is excellent.

We had such a good time at Pretty’s homestay hostel with Mr Pretty and Dollar 🐶. They were accommodating, letting us shower before our night bus and extending other guests’ stays at very reasonable prices. They also knew plenty about things to do and see nearby, but never pushed tours or activities you could book through the homestay. The road is quiet, yet the location is excellent, close to the main market area and lots of food and coffee options. Breakfast, served by Mr Pretty, included different local dishes that were great to try. There’s a win mart about a five-minute walk away, and the beer, soft drinks, and water are very reasonably priced. The only downside was the low shower pressure, though that’s common in Vietnam.
