Nam Xuan Premium Hotel

I don’t understand how Agoda gives this place a high rating when the rooms smell moldy. The walls are wet and never seem to dry.

I slept really well, even though the bed was a little hard. I like basement rooms, so staying in one suited me. The walls are thin, and on the first night a toddler was upset, but they fell asleep early enough that it wasn’t a problem. The room was very clean and comfortable, with incredible water pressure and reliably hot water. It was just a place to sleep and shower, without extra tables or chairs I wouldn’t use or want to pay for. Perfect for me. Thank you guys.

The damp was the worst part. The room stayed so wet that things wouldn’t dry, and even dry belongings picked up a layer of moisture after sitting there. The mattress was hard and always seemed damp too, which made the bed uncomfortable. Noise was another problem. People were shouting and making noise at 6:30 every morning for all three mornings we stayed. We also handed in laundry, but half of it went missing, the rest was stained, and all the white clothes came back yellowish. I couldn’t wait to leave. Probably my worst hotel stay in Southeast Asia so far.

My stay was horrible, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room had no window and was extremely small, just a bed, enough space to walk around it, and a toilet. The bed backed onto the next room’s toilet, so every time they used water I could hear it running. Smoke and conversation from people at the lobby also came into my room even with the door shut. At 11pm, reception knocked to collect medical clarification information, which was mandatory during the covid pandemic. With all that, how could the owner call this place “premium”?
