The Lake House Dalat - Hostel

The view is beautiful, and the spot is right beside the sunset check-in area at Tuyen Lam Lake. It’s wonderfully quiet, and the hosts are so thoughtful that I’d come back. The room was a good price, clean, and had a hot and cold water dispenser, a large clean bed, a clean toilet, and all the guest amenities.

The music at Vuon Thuong Cafe mixes with the wind and the rustling leaves on the mountain, with a soothing 180-degree view of Tuyen Lam Lake. I stop by whenever I visit Da Lat. The drinks are tasty and fairly priced, and the staff are friendly. Such a calming place!

The shower gel bottle was awkward to press, so it would be better to switch to an easier one. Still, the staff were cheerful and helpful, and I’d definitely stay again if I get the chance. The room was roomy and well equipped, with an ensuite toilet and a huge bed that comfortably fit two adults and one child. It’s quiet and romantic looking straight over the lake, and close to Datanla Waterfall, Truc Lam Pagoda, the clay tunnel, boat rides around Tuyen Lam Lake, and Bao Dai Palace.

If I could afford it, I’d stay here for a whole year, hehe. The room is clean, simply furnished, and feels close to nature, with restaurants and cafes only a short walk away. For two days, I barely needed to go anywhere. I’d wake up, order coffee and egg noodles, then read and listen to music. At lunch I got grilled spring rolls from the street, and in the afternoon I walked around the pagoda and stopped at The Lake House for tea. In the evening I ordered winter worm beef porridge at the commercial garden, then sat by the lake watching people row out to fish late into the night.
