Vinh Hoa Hotel

My mom discovered her expensive Coco Chanel perfume was gone when we returned to the hotel during our family vacation. The staff were rude and said we were lying instead of helping, and the police got involved as things kept escalating. The service was awful and the whole situation ruined the trip. We won't come back, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. Please save yourself the trouble.

I only ended up staying because everywhere else was fully booked. The rooms are run-down and low quality, while the owner charges what felt like an opportunistically high price. It left me with a bad impression of the City of a Thousand Flowers.

The rooms are plain, with just the basics like a bed, TV, and wardrobe, and the bathrooms could be cleaner. In some rooms the water pressure is so weak that taking a shower is uncomfortable. The hotel also shuts early, so if you come back late, you have to knock and wait for staff to let you in. That feels like a real drawback in a tourist city. It's a very ordinary townhouse-style place, about 2 km from the center of Da Lat, which isn't much of a problem if you're driving. The frontage is wide, roughly two townhouses across, but at night there's only space for about two cars. Families arriving by car should keep that in mind, especially with the recent security situation in Da Lat.
