Zen Cafe Lakeside

The rooms were spotless, spacious, and decorated with good taste, and we really enjoyed staying here. It was peaceful and surrounded by nature, with a beautiful setting. The cafe served very nice food, including a few vegetarian choices. Service was great, motorbikes were available to rent, and the city was only a short ride away.

We spent five nights here and tried two different rooms. Both were lovely. Jean and Rosie were kind and paid close attention to what we needed, and the food was very good. The landscaping and decor fit the Zen name beautifully. We wish our stay had been longer, and we’d gladly come back. Highly recommended.

The setting by the lake is really relaxing, and the view on the way there is lovely. I tried the cheese and sausage sandwich for 70K, which was delicious, then had Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk for 37K, also very good. I hadn’t expected much from a cafe so far from its competition, but the food was fantastic. I later learned it’s connected to a famous German restaurant in the city, which explains a lot. There are plenty of food options, and I’d put it among the best brunch cafes in Dalat.

My room was cozy and really spacious, with a spectacular view of the alley, lake, and lovely garden below. If you love dogs, this place will feel like heaven. It’s a charming, peaceful hideaway. The food was fresh and delicious, though the à la carte menu didn’t offer much choice. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent.
