Akala Villa

We were four people staying for a week, and it was wonderful. The house was stunning, and our rooms were immaculate and comfortable. Nam, our sweet and accommodating daily breakfast cook, also picked up after us and did our laundry. The area was peaceful, and we walked each day into the old town, about a flat mile to the shopping and eating area. We also took a Grab ride for 60,000 dong, around $2.00 USD. Nunu, the owner, was so nice and took us on a bike tour through the rice fields and surrounding neighborhoods. We can't recommend the place enough.

The setting right beside the river is stunning, and the villa makes the most of it with a lovely outdoor sitting area. Inside, the kitchen is fully equipped, the living spaces feel roomy and comfortable, and the decor is tasteful. The bedrooms are huge, with big beds and a bathroom for each. Akala Villa is beautifully designed and feels properly luxurious. We had an amazing stay and can’t wait to return.

Tok is an easy walk away, and we loved watching the sunset over the rice fields. Phuong & Nu were incredibly helpful, and finding things for cooking ourselves was easy. It’s the first place I’ve stayed that had everything for a cooking hobby. We ended up spending almost the entire three-night trip inside the villa anyway. We came with the whole family over the public holiday and were completely satisfied. The location is handy for popular spots, yet the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. The villa is in excellent condition, the rooms feel like a luxury resort, and there’s a big pool. The design makes a difference too: outside it was hot, but stepping in felt like entering another world. Highly recommended!

Nhu and her team took care of so much for my 30th birthday celebration, from decorating to organizing a private chef and bartenders. Nothing we asked for felt too big, and they went well beyond what we expected. It made for an incredible stay for me and my group. We’ll be back before too long. Thanks again.
