The bathroom had a horrible smell, probably from the drains. The cleaners came when we asked, but the odor returned, and eventually we were holding our breath just to use it. Aside from that, the room was comfortable and the pool was a nice extra. For the price, the place was basic and about what you’d expect. It had a kettle, fridge, and minibar, which was handy. Reception were friendly and helpful, and the laundry came back quickly with nothing missing.

The toilet flush worked, at least. The bed was broken and dirty, and the window and curtain were broken too. The AC stayed hot even after we set it to 16°C for hours. We asked staff to fix it, and they said a technician would come the next day, conveniently just as we were checking out 😁. A once-in-a-lifetime stay, in the kind of way you never want to repeat.

The main drawback for me was hot water: they use solar heating, so there’s none before 12. The TV is basically decoration too. Still, for 260k, it’s a great deal. The room was generally clean, though I saw a couple of ants, so don’t bring food in. I stayed two nights and would stay again.

Ants and other insects were all over the room. Leave food on the table and ants show up within minutes. Mold was everywhere, and the first thing you smelled on entering was mold. The window ledge was broken, so a child could easily fall out; be careful around that window (see photo). This is probably the worst hotel room I’ve had anywhere in Vietnam. I’ll never come back.
