Ancient Beach Boutique & Spa Hoi An

Our three-night booking somehow became a whole month, and now it’s hard to leave. The staff feel like family, the rooms and service are truly five-star, and the cleaners kept our room spotless and fresh every morning. Breakfast was always delicious, with an extra plate of banana pancakes for our family each day. They also put together a wonderful lunch for the guests staying long term, such a thoughtful gesture. We came with very young children, and the care we received was unlike anywhere else we’ve stayed in Asia. We got welcome drinks, a cool face cloth, and lovely smiles when we arrived. Every day, the staff went out of their way to make our kids feel special, playing with them, drawing pictures for them, and styling their hair in sweet little ways. We’ll miss this place dearly, and we’ll miss you, Luna and Phuong.

We’ll miss Ancient Beach. Luna and the crew took such good care of us, arranging transfers, welcoming us with drinks and fruit, sharing information about local facilities and activities, and helping with tourist plans and restaurant suggestions. They made sure we started the day with a hearty breakfast, including local favorites. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the linen smelled divine. The hotel is in a quieter spot near the beach, with Hoi An Old Town a short taxi or Grab ride away.

We came for two nights and ended up staying a month, like many other guests. My partner and I travel constantly as digital nomads and spend a lot of time in hotels, from high-end to mid-range. Ancient Beach Boutique was our best stay for the money by far. The hospitality sets it apart. The staff are professional but personable, clearly care about the place and each other, and treated us like people rather than just paying guests. They responded quickly to hotel questions, helped with personal requests, and suggested things we might enjoy as tourists. During our long stay they made us feel at home without overstepping. Our only complaint is that they’ve raised our standards for accommodation too high. It’s a wonderful base to slow down, relax, and explore Hoi An away from the city-center bustle. This review isn’t sponsored, we just loved it that much. The location was convenient: about 45 minutes from Da Nang Airport, with car service available at the same price as Grab. The river and beach are each around a five-minute walk in opposite directions, and Old Town is a ten-minute drive. Restaurants and mini-marts are just steps away. They offer laundry, motorbike rental, and tour bookings on site at fair prices, plus an attached spa with discounted guest rates, free beach towels, and functional bicycles. The rooms matched the pictures, the furniture was well maintained, the bed was comfortable, and we couldn’t hear the neighbors. Everything was clean, even the kitchen, which I snooped around in. The pool was clean and had a shower, and daily housekeeping was excellent. For breakfast, you order the day before. In the morning, there’s a buffet with fresh fruit, banana pancakes, toast, jam, honey, coffee, tea, and orange juice. By the time you sit down, your breakfast is served. That’s service.

We planned just one night, then stayed three. The junior suite was exceptional, with a giant room, and the hotel was super clean, much better than the place we had in Da Nang. We were very happy we stayed here in Hỏi An. Anh Phuong was especially dear to us and went above and beyond throughout our stay. This place is a must-book!
