Capecia Danang Hotel & Apartment

We were there for a few weeks and would gladly return. The location was excellent and services were solid, with friendly, attentive people at the front desk, in the cleaning team, and in management.🙏

The location is a strong point, about 500 meters from the beach and close to just about anything you might need. We stayed around 12 days and had two rooms, both clean at first. Near the end, little ants began showing up around the sink, which I really disliked. The WiFi was the biggest frustration, since it was unreliable if you needed to use it. I’d rate the stay about 3.5. Breakfast was by far the worst hotel breakfast we’ve had. The selection was tiny and seemed random, with the egg station as the only protein. There were just the same two people working and the food didn’t seem fresh, so I was wary of eating much else. Fries sat on a plate without a warmer, and who knows when they’d been cooked. The soup station didn’t look fresh either. The bread was already rock hard before toasting. I also saw coffee being made with tap water rather than filtered water, though I don’t know if that’s common in Vietnam. There’s construction next door, so it got noisy at times. They also seemed to charge for every little thing. One of our sons used a towel to mop up spilled ginger ale, and we were charged for it because they said it was dirty and couldn’t be cleaned thoroughly without bleach. That made me wonder whether the floors were cleaned well each day, especially since I requested room service daily. My daughter got marker on a sheet, and we expected to pay, but 700,000 dong for a very used sheet seemed ridiculous. Be aware you might feel nickel-and-dimed as a foreigner.

There’s a nice pool up on the roof, and the staff are friendly. A clean, modern place that works for either a short or a longer stay. Top notch.

We spent 10 days here, close to restaurants, massage places, cycle rentals, and only minutes from the beach. The management couple were accommodating and friendly, though their English was limited, and the staff were always pleasant. The food was okay for the low price. One thing the hotel should address is guests returning to the buffet with used plates, which seemed common among local Vietnamese tourists. I’d avoid staying during school holidays, when there are lots of children and noise. A great three-star hotel otherwise.
