Chieu Ha Village

We came as a family, and the hotel was just what I wanted. It sits in a small, peaceful village about 2.5 km from the old town, an easy ride by bicycle. Even though the village is small, cars can get to the hotel and there's parking. Our room was spacious and spotless, and the bed was really comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast was included, with lots of noodle dishes to choose from and a drink, including milk, juice or coffee. I tried Mi Quang, a traditional Hoi An dish, and it was delicious.

We felt unwelcome as soon as we arrived. The owners were rude and didn't greet us, then followed us around and wouldn't let us put our things on their table. Some furniture was old and falling apart. After we got settled enough to see the condition, we chose to leave. Thankfully, the booking agency returned our deposit. We found a much better place by chance, with a genuinely kind and accommodating host. I wish I'd taken pictures before leaving to post here. Update: A family member later took some photos of the villa. The booking agency also had the nerve to call and harass us to take this review down. I wrote it to share what actually happened and hopefully keep future guests from going through the same thing. I'm extremely upset by how unprofessional that was.

Lanh was a fantastic host, helping us arrange a bus to and from the airport and with many other things. The house was secure and private, and just a five-minute drive from the old town. We loved the house and made good use of both the pool and shared spaces. Everything was amazing, we can't recommend it enough!

A quiet little hidden gem in Hoi An. The rooms are new and kept up well, and both owners are so friendly and helpful.
