CiCi Villa & Apartment

The location suited my trip perfectly, with the beach an easy walk away. My pool view room had a King bed, looked like the photos, and was nicely decorated. The office also offers a microwave, which we really appreciated. The staff were kind and helpful, but the room wasn’t clean to my usual standards when I arrived. I asked them to clean it the next day, and they didn’t. That bothered me. I also found the bed too firm and had pain afterward.

I loved the pool area, which feels like an oasis with plants all around, and it’s a pleasant spot to relax. There are only 2 sunbeds, though, and they should add more along the side instead of having chairs and tables there. The hotel is in a quiet area, especially at night compared with other parts of Da Nang. You may need a bike or Grab to get around. It’s family friendly. The room size is decent, and the high ceilings and windows make it feel bright and spacious. Many rooms have balconies overlooking the pool. Everything was comfortable except the mattress. It was so hard, like a piece of foam from 20 years ago in Viet Nam, and didn’t fit with the hotel’s otherwise stylish, new setup and equipment. The mattress made it poor value for the price. I left after 2 nights, though I would’ve stayed 2 weeks if I’d been able to sleep well. The cleaning staff’s attitude also needs work. My room had a brown stain, dust, and hair on the floor, so I asked for it to be cleaned. Afterward, they’d removed the stain but left the rest. The cleaner said it wasn’t a stain but a broken tile, even though it wasn’t broken. Since she’d removed it, I don’t understand the excuse. I’d have appreciated her simply acknowledging the room hadn’t been cleaned properly, or even saying nothing, instead of trying to deny the poor job and blame something else. Customer service needs to meet the hotel standards they’re aiming for.

We had a great stay at Cici Villa, and Luan went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. The rooms are spacious. There are no elevators, so I’d recommend booking on the ground floor.

Back for a second visit, and it’s still just as cozy and peaceful. It was the hot season this time, so thank goodness for the pool! The staff are really friendly. The young worker was an absolute legend, helping me sort out a call from Grab to get my food and bringing a towel while I was in the sauna. The night receptionist was a champion too, helping with my laundry. One housemaid did bring the mood down a bit. She always looked annoyed, and pulled a face when I asked her to do the room. She seemed totally exhausted. There were quite a few bugs around as well, so those things were a letdown this trip. Still love the place and definitely coming back next winter. Catch ya later!!!
