TN Central Hotel

The only drawbacks were the construction next door and that our room wasn't on a higher floor. Otherwise, we had a comfortable, welcoming stay at Sky Gem Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful every time, and the location made it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and attractions.

The doormen and porters were the one bright spot. They were polite and professional, while most of the other staff were rude and unwelcoming. At night, staff on the night shift were often asleep in the lobby, which was unacceptable. Housekeeping repeatedly accused me of damaging or ruining the bedsheets, four days in a row. I took photos and videos every day and showed them to both lobby staff and management, but they refused to acknowledge the evidence. That made me wonder if management might be complicit. The pool was dirty and maintenance was poor. The restaurant stayed closed throughout our visit, and one very small lift for about 16 floors was completely inadequate. The hotel is next to a large construction site, with constant daytime noise that made it impossible to rest. Calling this a 4-star hotel is an overstatement, with nothing to justify that rating. Save your money, there are much better value hotels in the area.

There was just one very slow lift for all the floors, and the staff were only average. The included breakfast was poor, and the pool wasn't much bigger than my bathtub at home. My room was tiny, like a shoebox, and not very clean. Calling it a 4-star hotel is a lie. It was a bad experience, and I'd never recommend it to anyone.

The river view was great, and the room had plenty of space and a lovely bathtub. The interior design was tasteful and well matched. Staff were friendly, the location was convenient with a 7-Eleven right next door, and breakfast was good too.
