I’m not fussy. I just need a clean room, working AC, and somewhere quiet. My first room had black mold all over it, including throughout the bathroom, and everything smelled damp and moldy. The AC and door lock didn’t work either. I asked to move. The next room was a little better, with no visible mold, but it still smelled like a damp basement. The AC blew dirty, lukewarm air, so I left it off to avoid getting sick and kept the window open 24/7 during my stay. The staff were nice. This wasn’t their fault.

The location worked perfectly for me. I could walk to the beach and lots of other places, and there’s a good money exchange about 8 minutes away on foot. The staff were friendly and helpful, reception was there 24/7 if I needed anything, and housekeeping cleaned my room daily. They even left a nice welcome with water, soft drinks, and noodles. A really nice hotel, highly recommended!

I couldn’t sleep that night because I’m very afraid of insects. I found three cockroaches in my room, and when I asked for insect spray, staff said they’d run out. The hotel was fully booked, so they couldn’t move me that night. In the end I moved out and spent the night looking for another hotel. The next day, I asked for a refund. They agreed and charged me for only one night, which I appreciate. The owner and staff seemed nice, but I couldn’t continue the stay. The room looked much older than its online photos. There were stains on the walls, worn furniture, old-looking, unclean towels, and the bathroom fan made a very loud noise when I turned on the light. The Wi-Fi was unstable too. I hope they improve the rooms, facilities, and cleanliness.

I slept on the most comfortable beds I’ve found in SE Asia, and the rooms were comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job every day, and the staff were friendly. The location is convenient, with shops and restaurants a block or two away and the main street a short walk from the hotel. It’s far enough from the bustle to relax in peace and quiet, though a 5 minute Grab gets you to beachfront bars and parties. There’s also a convenience store right across the street with drinks, snacks, and basic toiletries. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room is spacious and cheap. It’s not very close to the beach, but you can rent a motorcycle here. The man with the glasses was the only one who could speak English.
