Dattravi Hostel

The room was awful, with dirt and stains all over the furniture, duvets, pillows, and towels. There was no TV, no hot water, and no housekeeping. The staff were horrible, especially the older woman at reception. I wonder if she was the hotel's con owner. Agoda offered no help either. Filthy, the worst place to stay, and I wonder how they can be fully booked. I booked in a last-minute rush through Agoda, got a confirmation, and was told payment at reception was the only option, which was fine. But when I arrived, the woman at the desk, who didn't speak English, said there were no rooms and they were fully booked. I said I'd take it up with Agoda, and then they quickly offered a room at a hotel in the neighborhood. Somehow the woman then asked what my booking payment was, and it seemed she thought she'd gotten a good deal from it. She immediately said she'd arrange a room at her own hotel, but demanded cash or told me to leave. With no other option, I paid cash. If I'd been with family, I would have walked out.

My booking had been confirmed, but when I arrived the staff said they were full and turned me away. After reading the reviews, it seems this happens regularly. The staff were extremely unprofessional. Don't waste your time here. Vietnam has better hotels to offer.

The room was filthy, possibly with used bedsheets, and there was mold everywhere. The staff at reception didn't speak English, though that wasn't such a big deal. I made the mistake of staying here so you don't have to. There are plenty of other good hotels in the same area.

The street has everything, from restaurants, fresh fruit, drugstores, massage places, corner stores, and coffee houses to hotels at all budgets. You're only minutes from the beach. If you don't need much, this hotel is fantastic, and you get what you pay for. I stayed here for two weeks of the two months I spent in Danang.
