Hotel Del Luna

The hotel’s reply prompted me to clarify that the list of items and prices wasn’t shown upfront. If it was in the room, you had to look for it. The walls are very thin. You can hear other guests watching TV or doing something else as if they’re in your room. If you stay more than one night, the cleaning lady knocks on every door at 8am, so it’s not ideal if you’re jetlagged or trying to rest. Also, be aware of the hostel rules: if you break something, you pay. I accidentally broke the hand soap bottle when it slipped as I pressed it. When I told them, they asked me to pay 10 euros. I asked to speak to a manager, not because of the amount but on principle, and was given an email address since the manager was somewhere else. There are some good points: the location is very convenient, near the main beach and promenade. Breakfast isn’t bad, the staff are generally friendly, and the rooftop pool is quite nice.

A big shout-out to TONY for going above and beyond and helping us make new memories. We had a fantastic time here last year, and the staff were amazing. The rooms were amazing too, and it’s just a five minute walk to the beach. The atmosphere was fantastic even in very testing weather conditions, during a typhoon :) Thanks again. Miss Hang and Mr Long at Reception were excellent, always friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome. The location is good, with the beach an easy walk away. Our Executive room was just as pictured and advertised on Booking.com, and it was always clean.

The room looked appealing, which is why I booked this hotel, and I stayed for a couple of days. By the end, I realized there were bed bugs in the room. That was extremely disturbing and unacceptable for hygiene and health. After that experience, I definitely can’t recommend the hotel.
