The staff were nice enough to refund two of our three nights, but I wouldn’t book this place. There are better options for the price. They marked us as a no-show on booking.com, which meant we couldn’t leave a review there. A lot of things didn’t match what was advertised: our towels were dirty, the hotel needed a lot of maintenance, and there was no hot water. The front desk said it was only available at certain times, but there wasn’t any then either. The pool bar was deserted and being used by staff to dry things. The three seats left by the water were moldy and dirty, and the floor was dirty too, with broken boards and mold. There was no minibar, just other people’s trash on the cabinets. Ants were in the room, so keep food in sealed containers. Spend your money on a hotel or homestay that deserves it.

If you get a good deal on Agoda, it can be decent value, and the street is in a fairly quiet, convenient location. The hotel itself is quite run down, though. There were ants in the room, the bathroom smelled really bad, some lights didn’t work, and there was no fridge. I had to argue with the security guard before I finally got one.

We had a small bathroom problem at first: the toilet was clogged and shower water wouldn’t drain, leaving it on the floor. I told the hotel lady, and she fixed it quickly and professionally. Other than that, everything was fine. The Beach Hotel was clean and comfortable, and a good affordable option near the beach. I’d still recommend it to anyone looking for that.

There were cafes and restaurants just a few minutes’ walk away, though the beach was a 30-minute walk. The room wasn’t clean: the sheets were stained, there was someone else’s hair on the bed and around the room, and a dead cockroach was in the hallway outside the room. The air conditioning was very weak. The hallway carpet was oddly placed and stained too.

This hotel is totally scamming people. I came three months ago and was quoted one price, but now that I’ve come back they’re asking 1.5 million more. It feels untrustworthy, and the reception staff were so rude.
