Dominika Apartment & Hotel

The location was perfect for me, with the beach about a five-minute walk away and plenty of restaurants and bars on the street. The landlord is sweet and accommodating, and the apartments are clean and well furnished. I never had issues with bugs, just the occasional gecko on the wall, which I found charming. I really enjoyed my stay. Empty apartments in this area go fast, so I’d definitely recommend staying here.

My friends had to leave the apartment during lockdown and left a lot of their belongings behind. They donated them to local animal and people charities. When the charity came to collect everything, several valuable items were missing, including expensive motorcycle helmets, a laptop, food, clothes, books, and educational things for children. The dog supplies were still there, and had been washed and cleaned. My friend contacted the landlord, who said her husband had been upset by the smell of the dog items and had thrown them away. That explanation didn’t account for why the expensive things were gone while the dog supplies remained. The landlord apologized and asked them to understand, but to me that came across as avoiding responsibility. If she had planned to fix the problem, I’d expect her to say how. She owns the apartment building, yet this happened to donated items meant for charities. Shame on you, Dominika Apartments.

The view was lovely, and I liked the rooms a lot. The owner and staff were friendly and nice, too.

It’s close to the sea, and the owner is really friendly and enthusiastic. I’ll definitely come back.
