Essenza Hotel

On my second day, staff called to say I had to check out, then came into my room without permission and pressured me to leave. I had booked two nights, and they only backed off when I pointed out I had one more night. Then they realized they'd made a mistake. The room was dirty throughout. There was a filthy towel on the floor when I checked in, and no proper towels to use. The sink was dirty, the balcony door wouldn't close properly, and I found a couple of lizards. It was extremely moist and smelled bad the whole time. Based on my experience, I'd really avoid this place.

The whole room smelled of ammonia, and the bathroom ventilation didn't clear it. Everything was damp, there wasn't even a window, and the ceiling over the shower was completely covered in mold. The bedsheets were dirty too. I woke up with a headache and felt disgusted after breathing that smell all night. One of the worst places I've ever stayed.

The place looks nothing like the online photos. It's old, poorly maintained and smelled strongly of mold. Everyone we spoke to seemed to have run into the same issues. Our room was completely dirty when we checked in, as if the previous guest had just left and nobody had cleaned. When we asked for it to be cleaned, they handed us cleaning products and toilet paper and told us to do it ourselves. We stayed two days, asked repeatedly, and no one ever came to clean. That service is embarrassing. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs!!

We couldn't sleep because the room had no soundproofing. Loud noises and thumping carried through at 3 AM. The price made the experience even harder to accept. Essenza Hotel felt like a cheap motel. The room was damp and musty, and everything, including the toilet, was dirty and poorly maintained. After staying there, my daughter developed a skin rash and irritation, something that had never happened before. The hotel needs to rethink its cleanliness, upkeep and guest care. I absolutely wouldn't recommend staying here.
