Flower Hotel

The location is really good, and the staff are helpful, though not the best I've encountered. The hotel seems fairly new, but it doesn't feel well maintained. The cleaning service isn't keeping its standards, the windows are dirty, and the rooftop pool is tiny and dirty too. We mostly used the hotel to sleep, but still expected reasonable standards for a boutique hotel, and they were missing.

The pictures on Google Maps and the booking sites don't look like the hotel we found. We were first put in a dreadful sort of back room on the second floor. After asking to move the next day, we got a room with a window facing the emergency stairwell, with no daylight or ventilation. The whole place felt unsanitary. Charging 1,552,000vdn per day is ridiculous. We quickly found a lovely nearby hotel for less, with breakfast, just as close to the beach, clean rooms and comfortable beds, friendly staff, and a clean rooftop pool. Avoid this place.

Quynh is the best. My room was super clean, the bed was made every day and they replenished the water. The rooftop pool was great too. Even though Loco Tay, a Latin bar, is right next door, it was surprisingly quiet in my room just outside the bar. They may have some kind of soundproofing. The location is right where you want to be, with the beach visible from my window and a straight walk down the street to it. There’s a huge choice of food nearby, from steak and eggs at around four dollars to street food for under a dollar. The hotel staff are great.

The location was the only real plus for us. We stayed at flower hotel for four nights, and it's fairly central, about a five minute walk from the beach, with supermarkets, restaurants and cafes all around. The room smelled bad, there was mold in the bathroom, and hot water took at least 20 minutes. With no shower curtain, the floor ended up like a swimming pool. The Wi-Fi was basically unusable, so we relied on mobile data the whole time. We were also put in a connecting room and could constantly hear the other person, which was very uncomfortable. For what we paid, and for a four star hotel, I expected much more. I might have accepted it for a third of the price.
