Gold Plaza Hotel Da Nang

The reception team made this stay for me. They were always smiling, patient, and ready to help, and went out of their way to make sure guests were comfortable. Golden Plaza Hotel was clean, nicely kept, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I’d happily stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting Da Nang.

Of the three places I stayed in DaNang, this was easily the best value. I could walk to nearby restaurants, banks, laundry, and convenience stores. The room was comfortable and clean, with a balcony, fridge, and TV, and there was no musty smell. Staff were courteous, offered a welcome drink, and let me check in early. Breakfast had eggs and coffee. I’d stay here again.

The reception staff were genuinely kind, professional, and helpful, and the hotel itself seemed well maintained. The restaurant experience was a letdown, though. We asked politely for coffee in a disposable cup to take away, but the server refused without explaining why. When we asked about the policy, we were sent to Hiep. He didn’t speak to us directly and just waved dismissively when we asked if a plastic cup might work. It wasn’t the refusal that bothered us, but being brushed off without a conversation. A courteous explanation would have been fine. I hope management looks into it, because the reception team showed the sort of standard the whole hotel should meet.

At around 30USD a night with breakfast, this felt like good value. The location is close to the airport, with restaurants and tourist spots reachable on foot or with a short ride. Our room and linens were clean, with no unpleasant smell, and the balcony was a nice extra. The towels were a bit old and rough, but cleanliness mattered more to me. Basic toiletries were there, and the faucet and drain worked properly. Breakfast was limited, mostly carbs with only a little protein such as eggs and tofu. Noise from neighboring rooms came through easily because the soundproofing was poor. I didn’t use the pool, though I believe it’s available. The staff were warm and hospitable.
