Grand Mercure Danang

The executive lounge was the best part for me, calm and comfortable, and well run whether I wanted to relax or get some work done. Service was professional, and things went smoothly from check-in through check-out. The hotel isn’t new, but it has a charming, classic look and is clearly well maintained. I was happy with every aspect of my stay. It’s a dependable place focused on comfort and quality, and I’d stay again. Travelers who enjoy a classic style and a good lounge would probably like it too.

The gym and pool were both clean, well equipped, and relaxing, and I found the central location quiet while still making it easy to get downtown and to the beach. I’d happily come back to Grand Mercure Danang, whether travelling for work or a break. Thanks to Trang for her warm hospitality. My room was spacious and well kept, with a beautiful view over the Han River and city skyline. Housekeeping kept it spotless, and the bed and pillows were a welcome comfort after long workdays and nearby golf sessions. Breakfast was another highlight, with international and local choices, fresh fruit, eggs made to order, and Vietnamese coffee. The restaurant and bar teams were attentive and friendly without getting in the way. The welcome drink was a thoughtful touch, and check-in went smoothly. The staff were warm and attentive from start to finish, always greeting guests with a smile and doing their best to make them comfortable.

We’ll definitely come back to Grand Mercure DaNang. Everyone was welcoming, from the entrance team to reception, and we got a chilled kumquat drink that left us feeling relaxed. The receptionist also explained some of the perks included with our Gold membership with ACORR. Our room looked elegant and chic, and the facilities were well maintained. They left us a welcome snack and a fruit platter with macaroons, which were yummy. The bellboys were cheerful and helped carry our luggage from the driveway through reception and up to the room. Huy took care of us on the first day and was efficient and helpful, even with our last-minute requests. He still answered our questions on his day off. On our last day I left an ornament in the room, and Huy kept it safe until I returned for it. Thanks for the great hospitality.

The executive lounge and gym were my favourite parts of the hotel. The lounge team were exceptionally kind, and the evening cocktails came with good quality canapés and a nice food selection. I can’t remember his name, but one of the male staff remembered what my son and I had been drinking the previous day and looked after us so warmly. I’d like to thank him again. From my room, the night view over the Han River was stunning. The hotel sits on an island in the river, with open views and quiet, clean, safe upscale residential neighbourhoods around it. It’s not especially walkable for reaching the city’s main areas, but Grab was easy to use, and the central parts of town were about a 15-minute drive away. Da Nang International Airport was around 15 minutes by car too. The gym was in great shape and had the exercise machines I needed. Running on the treadmills with the Han River in view made for a refreshing start to the day. I landed early in the morning and, thanks to my Accor Platinum benefits, got an early check-in, late check-out, and an upgraded room looking over Dragon Bridge on the Han River. That made the visit very comfortable and relaxing. I’d already had good memories from a previous stay, and this visit was just as happy and satisfying. Ms. Hanh at reception and in the lounge was very kind, as were the lounge staff. The hardworking doorman was always welcoming and attentive. I’d come with my mother last time and my son this time, and I’m grateful both trips left us with such lovely memories. The hotel offers great value along with excellent service. I’d be glad to return on my next trip, and hope it stays so well managed for years to come.
