Azalea Sapa Hotel

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean, and nicely done. Staff spoke very little English, so we had to use Google Translate for most conversations, and nobody helped with our bags when we arrived or left. Laundry was another hassle. We were told to bring it to reception instead of having it collected from the room, which is what I expected at a 4-star hotel. The washing itself was done properly and smelled good. The bar also shuts too early, and getting only two 500ml bottles of water a day was frustrating as a foreign tourist in Vietnam.

Thin made our stay especially comfortable. He helped with our bags, quickly brought an ironing board whenever we needed one, and made renting a bike easy. He was warm, attentive, and always willing to help, which made a real difference. We had a very pleasant time at the clean, comfortable hotel and would happily return to Vietnam in the future. Thanks to Thin and the rest of the staff for making our honeymoon memorable. We'd recommend staying here.

Breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant's view of the mountains was stunning. Waking up to that scenery over the morning meal made our stay especially memorable. Azalea Sapa Hotel was also spotless and smelled lovely, with a great location and friendly, accommodating staff. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

The free breakfast was quite good for a small hotel, with an omelette and noodle station and plenty of choices. We especially enjoyed the yoghurt with glutinous rice dessert. The breakfast hall is on the top floor, with a big viewing area outside. We stayed in clean, spacious rooms, including a round soaking tub in the toilet. There was a drainage problem in the shower on our second night; we reported it at checkout and hope it's been fixed. The hotel is only about a five-minute walk from Sun Plaza and Sapa's main square and walking street. We came in on the overnight train from Hanoi early in the morning and left our bags at the hotel while we explored town. Sapa's mist and cool weather added to the experience, with temperatures around 8'C most days. We had a pleasant stay and would come back next time we're in Sapa.
