We planned to stay one night but ended up staying three. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable enough, though the mattress and pillow were too hard for me since I prefer softer ones. Lily, the owner, was very nice and helpful, but also likes to sell you things. Bike rental was included in the price and we enjoyed riding, though there may not be enough usable bikes if the hotel has more tourists. Lily said the beach was about 2 km away and the old town around 1 km, but Google Maps showed 4 km to the beach and almost 2 km to the old town. That distance isn’t a big issue by bike, but the information wasn’t accurate. The day before we left, Lily agreed to make us breakfast between 6:30 and 7:00 because we had a bus. At ten minutes to seven I had to ring the bell, and it felt like we were being a bother and that it was too early. We ended up having to rush for the bus.

We were satisfied with the accommodation, though there’s room to improve the service. Our upstairs room in the middle was clean enough, and the bathroom was quite large, with a hairdryer, toothbrushes, combs, soap, and shampoo. The TV picture wasn’t good, but that didn’t matter to us since we weren’t there to watch TV. The mattress is very hard, so you may like it if that’s what you prefer. Free bikes are available, but it’s hard to find a good one because some need repairs to the tires, chain, brakes, or pedal. Breakfast wasn’t a strong point. Sometimes the menu item or drink we ordered wasn’t available, and one day Lily, the owner, brought me a different breakfast from what I’d asked for. There were several breakfast mistakes, and I hope this isn’t usual.

Lily, who runs the place, is amazing and will help plan your trip. She’s such a lovely person, she ought to be running the whole country! The stay is close to the city, has secure motorbike parking, and includes free bikes for getting around. What a place in Hoi An, I couldn’t recommend anywhere else. Thanks for having us!

The host was really accommodating and didn’t charge me for a third night I’d booked, even though I had to leave later in the afternoon. I had a lot of fun meeting the other guests on the shaded, relaxed patio. It’s a nice spot close to everything by free cruiser bike, and the prices for beer, water, and breakfast were very reasonable.

Lily gave us lots of good tips for visiting Hoi An and arranged transport, a day trip, and even the train to Sapa. It was all good and good value. The family-run place has really friendly, helpful staff and is excellent value, with the old town center just 10 minutes away. It’s close to sights but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Our room was clean, with a very comfortable bed and a spacious, clean bathroom. There are no extra frills, but it was fabulous for the price. There was lots to choose from at breakfast, and I fell in love with the local food more than the European options. We’d definitely stay again.
