Cam Ranh Bay in winter brings to mind the feeling of Hanoi in autumn, right in the middle of Nha Trang.

The room was spacious and good, and breakfast was decent. Since the hotel is run by the government navy, it has a more serious business feel than a family resort. You’re greeted by actual Vietnamese navy personnel, which gives the place a distinctive atmosphere.

This is genuinely a Navy hotel staffed by military personnel, so tourism doesn’t seem to be its main focus. I’d bring my own snacks and drinks in case I got hungry or thirsty. Breakfast was limited, and once there weren’t enough eggs for everyone, so service there felt lacking. The overall standard was good and the price was reasonable. One thing to know: the large water bottle left on the table beside the two small ones is charged, while those two small bottles are free.

We found this hotel through Agoda reviews and were glad we trusted our impression. It’s in Cam Ranh, about 3 km from Cam Ranh International airport, and the room was modern, new, tidy, and spacious. Most of the staff, including guards and receptionists, seemed to be soldiers, so at first we thought it was only for navy personnel. They were very friendly and ready to help, though. Their dedication and way of working inspired my kids and made all of us feel more patriotic toward our country. I’d highly recommend it for a trip in Khanh Hoa if you want a safe hotel at a reasonable price.
