The room felt unhealthy, with everything damp, including the towels, bedding, and mattresses, and an overwhelming moldy smell. We'd arrived between 2 and 3 a.m. and, after a year of budget travel and some rough rooms, this was unlike anything we'd encountered. We stayed the first night because we'd arrived so late, then asked for a different room the next morning. Reception first said none would be free until the following day, but when we asked for a refund, they suddenly found one. The second room was better, though there was still mold on the walls and in the corners. We also had no privacy. Around 8 a.m. after that first night, housekeeping knocked. We shouted, “no thank you,” but she tried to come in anyway. There was no do-not-disturb sign to hang. In the new room, we were glad to find one and put it on the door, but the room had been cleaned when we returned later that day. We tried explaining to reception, but the language barrier made it impossible. We felt unsafe there. There was no safe or secure place for our belongings, our privacy wasn't respected, and the rooms felt unhealthy. We can't recommend this place.
