La Beach Hotel

The room was good for the price, though some things need attention, like the malfunctioning lights. The staff were great and made up for those smaller problems. Thanks to Lilly and Tang in particular for responding quickly and doing their best to help. It’s a pretty decent hotel in a good spot, with good restaurants around it and no heavy foot traffic in the area. The beach is a five minute walk away, and there’s a 24 hour convenience store across the street. I’d book again.

For 14 days, I stayed in room 805, which smelled like a sewer. The bathroom stench made me sick. I told the front desk about it several times, but they did nothing to fix the sewage problem and only sprayed fragrance to cover it up. This is not a 4 star hotel, and room 805 shouldn’t be rented to guests. Other rooms may be better, but for that one, you’d be better off sleeping on the beach. The man in the picture couldn’t understand English or translate into his own language. He covered his face because he knows he sucks at his job.

Book at your own risk. Even after my payment and reservation had been confirmed, they cancelled at the last minute and raised the price to double while several rooms were still available. They ruined my vacation right at the end.
