La Maison Da Nang Beach

We could leave our bags at reception for free, which was nice, and the shower was very good. The room was okay otherwise, though it smelled. The beach is nearby, while the center is farther away, but you can't be close to both. The main problem was the water bottles in the fridge. There was no sign saying they cost anything, so we drank them and were charged afterward. The man at reception said he'd told us at check-in that they weren't free, but he definitely hadn't, and we were only there one night so I would've remembered. I suggested putting up a notice, but he insisted he'd told us and rudely brushed me off when I said he hadn't. I've seen other reviews describe the same issue, so I think this may be a common little trick there. A sign by the water would prevent it, but apparently that's not possible. It wasn't much money, but arguing with guests and saying 'I told you so' felt very unprofessional. Maybe he meant to tell us and forgot. At most places, staff would just say sorry and let it go. I'm sure they'll reply that they did tell us, but they didn't. He even said at check-in that his memory wasn't very good 😂. Just avoid drinking the water and the place is alright :)

The quiet, cozy atmosphere and room to work made this a great spot for digital nomads. It felt like being at home, with staff who really cared about our comfort and kept the room spotless. Reception speaks good English, so getting things sorted was easy. The laundry was economical and convenient too. If you want somewhere personal and less busy, I'd recommend it.

The family who run it make you feel like one of their own, and the service is genuinely warm, always with a smile. For the price, this is one of the best hotels in Danang. The rooms are amazing, especially the front ones, so I'd pay the few extra dollars for those. Great bed, super clean, excellent air conditioning, and laundry in the building. I kept going back to the Banh Mi cart at the entrance, and having a convenience store just 40 metres away was a nice extra. I'd choose this over a world-class five-star hotel any day.

I came across this hotel through the Korean YouTuber Captain Brother and was really glad I found it. The owner gave me such a warm, genuine welcome. I'm already looking forward to staying here on a future trip to Vietnam.
