I don’t recommend this place. Our Agoda booking was refused. The owner said they had ended their partnership with Agoda a few days earlier. I called Agoda, and they told me the property should not have turned us away without a reason. Agoda tried calling to ask why they had refused my girlfriend and me, but the property wouldn’t answer. The Agoda Vietnam team also contacted them, and every call was rejected. The owner offered us the flat rate shown on the sign outside. After about an hour of calling Agoda to figure out my options, I left. I felt uncomfortable staying somewhere that seemed to judge ethnicity versus nationality, and I found a better hotel in the city. I’m Canadian, and my girlfriend is Vietnamese and from Vietnam. Based on the other reviews I saw, I don’t think this was because of the virus or anything, just a bad hotel.

The owner was friendly and nice, but everything else was rubbish. My sheet was dirty, the room smelled, and the windows wouldn’t close properly. There was a cockroach in my room, and it was so noisy at night that I couldn’t sleep at all. This is a hotel, not a backpacking motel. Don’t go there. It’s just bad!

When we arrived after booking through AirAsia, the owner couldn’t find our reservation and brought the police to check us. The room was dirty, smelly, and in very bad condition.
