Long Life Riverside Hotel & Spa

We were really impressed by the service. It was the best my family and I have experienced, and the location is right in the heart of Hoi An. We visited over the New Year holiday, and before the countdown the hotel put on a special dinner buffet for guests, with grilled lobster too.

Manager Minh made us feel welcome and checked that we had everything we needed. The whole staff were attentive, and that service made our recent five-day stay special. The location was excellent for exploring the area, and the stay was just what we needed. We'd highly recommend it for a comfortable visit with such thoughtful hosting.

The manager worked hard every day during the four weeks we stayed, and I'd like to thank him again. It's hard to criticise a hotel still recovering from the terrible floods in Hoi An, but the breakfast really needs attention. I raised it with the manager in our second week, and it improved for a while, then slipped back. On our last day the food was cold and some items weren't ready for guests. The bathtub cleaning was also dreadful. There were dirty marks in and on it the whole time, and the jets looked as if they'd never been cleaned. I'd stay again, but things need to improve first.

Breakfast was the letdown. There was a decent selection, but food in the warming trays wasn't hot, and cold fried eggs and bacon weren't nice. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily, and our room facing the back street was quiet. The hotel is well placed across the river from the ancient town.
