Luk Inn Hotel

The neighborhood in My An is a big draw, with lots of restaurants, cafés, spas, and bars. It’s a popular part of Da Nang with Western, Korean, and Chinese visitors. The hotel has a lovely Asian-inspired interior, reliable wifi, and all the usual amenities. My deluxe room was spacious and comfortable to move around in. They also have shared rooms and a well-designed coworking space, though its 8am -10pm hours didn’t work for me since I work at night. I didn’t talk much with the staff, but they seemed nice. The room was generally clean, but the floor was dusty, and dust collecting on the bamboo ceiling could trigger allergies. A bit more attention to both would help. My main complaint was the shampoo, which smelled almost spoiled. I asked for more, but the replacement smelled the same. They should check their toiletries. It’s a solid budget stay, and the private deluxe room was a better experience than the affordable shared rooms.

I’d asked for a bottom bunk when booking, but none was available, so I spent one night up top. The stairs are awkward, and felt unsafe to use when sleepy. The balcony door wouldn’t close, which made the room too noisy to sleep in. Reception couldn’t move me to another room at the time. Hah at reception was kind in the end and refunded me, which was a nice surprise. I may not have your name spelled right, Hah, but thank you for being kind!

The location and coworking space were the only good parts. We stayed six days in a private room and it wasn’t cleaned once. We had to ask reception for toilet paper or fresh towels, otherwise nothing was provided, and nobody took out the trash during our stay. Be ready to do that yourself. At checkout, they also charged us extra costs we hadn’t incurred. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want a comfortable stay in Da Nang.

The location was great, and the manager let us check in later. But the bed was tiny and circular, and its hard, styrofoam-like mattress felt like sleeping on the floor. It really needs replacing.
