Lychee Hotel

The room was great, though there was an issue with integrity. I’ve already told the manager the full story, so I’ll keep it brief. I accidentally dropped my wallet, and one employee took it, apparently out of greed. He returned it only after I asked to check the camera. It could have been the children playing football who kicked it by accident, but I don’t think so since it was near the edge of the sidewalk. In any case, I’m glad the manager was willing to deal with it.

If you want to sleep, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. It was very loud. I’d booked a room with no window thinking it would be quieter, but there’s a vent in the door that can’t be closed. You can hear everything through it, including other guests and crying children. The hallway window can’t be shut either because it’s rusted open. I asked to change rooms and was told guests would be checking out, but another family with a crying child replaced them.

The staff were amazing and helped me every day with my trips. I liked the quiet, local feel of the area, and the location worked perfectly for me. It’s close to the train station and airport, and I walked to and from both. The room was great, clean, and had good air conditioning, hot water with a good flow, a kettle, and a fridge. They refilled the water daily. I loved it enough to stay two extra nights, and I’ll definitely come back to Da Nang and stay here again.

The room was spacious, tidy, and comfortable, with clean bathroom and comfy beds. The wide TV screen and bathtub helped cheer up our son during the stay. The hotel is near the beach, though you still need to walk a bit to get somewhere to swim in the sea. We’re from a seaside hometown, so missing a swim didn’t bother us much. We stayed three nights, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The receptionist gave my wife detailed tips about attractions and what we could do if we wanted to get into the room before the standard 14h check-in. The night security man was very friendly and helped me find an empty parking spot for the car overnight. My wife also rented a motorbike from the hotel at a very good price to explore the city and local food herself. We loved our stay and appreciated the warm welcome, preparation, and help from the hotel staff. We’ll be back for sure.
