For 400,000 VND for one during TET, I had the most spacious room, with a balcony looking onto the backstreet. The homestay is clean and friendly, on what I'd call a backpacker street, with lots of places to stay for western travellers and cafes and bars priced for a western wallet in Vietnam. The hosts are kind and caring. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathtub was a real bonus for me over taking a shower, though the water pressure was weak and filling it took a while. During TET, it was very noisy because of a nearby showground and lots of drinking. The neighbors' roosters were also brutally loud at night and in the morning. Gaps around the doors and windows made it easy for mosquitoes to get inside. Internet speed was okay, but not good enough for streaming in the evening. I'd recommend staying, as long as you don't expect a five-star place.

The staff were friendly, and it's about a 15-minute walk to the center. Nothing was especially wrong, but for us the place felt average for its price. We liked the room, though its window faced a hallway rather than outside. We weren't sure the linen was clean, but when we asked, even at 11pm, they brought us a fresh set.

The staff were excellent, and despite cafes and shops being nearby, the room was very quiet. It's in a good location and really clean. The A/C, hot water, and hairdryer all worked perfectly, and there was a kettle, mugs, toothbrush, toothpaste, and soap in the room.
