Mama's House Hoi An Homestay

'Tu', who also goes by 'mama', made us feel comfortable in her calm, laid-back place. When we arrived, she marked good spots for local food and drinks on a map. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with a generous serving of fruit and a smile from Tu. It's a short ride by bike or an inexpensive cab into the centre, and the brilliant early morning fish market is close by. One of our best stays in Vietnam. Highly recommended!

The rooms at Mama's House Homestay were spacious and clean, but Thu was the real star. She took such good care of us and clearly cares about her guests. I was ill, and she made me herbal tea and gave me bananas from the garden without charging me. Such a sweetheart. The motto is "Your home away from your home," and it fits. We highly recommend staying here.

My favourite place I've stayed in hoi an. Mama’s House homestay is modern, comfortable, and well appointed, with kind, helpful hosts who manage everything well. We got fantastic local food recommendations, and breakfast at Mama’s was delicious: fresh fruit, omelettes, and crispy bread rolls. I'm coming back, and would recommend it even to picky travelers who like their mod-cons.

Ms Thu made delicious breakfasts every day, and eight breakfasts cost just 170k. She also arranged tours that were really good and reasonably priced, and got us snacks for the beach and for our tour and bus ride to Hue. I'd recommend Hue if you're heading that way. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The homestay is 2.2 km from Old Town and around 5 km from An Bang Beach. Ms Thu provides bikes for free, and it's an easy, nice ride to both. Grab from Old Town was only 30-40k VND. Plus, there's an awesome dog there.
