Mangata Beachfront Hotel

I booked three nights through Agoda for my first visit to Da Nang, drawn by the seaside location and reasonable price. The hotel is right across the road from the sea. It’s a short, pleasant walk to the busy beach club area with umbrellas and restaurants, though the hotel itself isn’t directly in front of it. Our Ocean View room was on the 4th floor. The view was still clear and beautiful, even without a higher floor. The room was comfortable and clean, and the smart TV supports Netflix and YouTube casting. The bathroom was clean and had a bathtub. Its glass wall faces the bed, but there’s a curtain for privacy. Service was outstanding, from the enthusiastic bell boy with our luggage to reception staff who spoke English fluently. Breakfast was simple with limited options, but fine before heading out. The shower gel seemed a bit watery, and all three days we were given kid-sized bathrobes. It’s a clean, quiet hotel, with convenience stores and Vietnamese and Korean restaurants within walking distance.

The rooftop bar and pool at Mangata Beachfront hotel have lovely views, and the location opposite the beach is great. The room was functional and OK. Breakfast, though, was far too busy. Every table was taken, and with all the elbows and few manners, it felt like a free for all. Sorry, but I wouldn’t stay again.

For around 40USD a night with breakfast included, it was good value. The staff were warm and the rooms were clean, which made the stay pleasant. The beachfront location also made it easy to reach restaurants and tourist spots on foot or with a short ride. My room and linens were clean and had no unpleasant smell, and the towels were crisp and new. Basic toiletries were supplied, and the faucet and drain worked properly. Breakfast was adequate, with a few protein options. The soundproofing was tolerable. The toilet was very small and hard to move around in. I didn’t use the pool, but it’s on the top floor and is shallow and small.

The hotel is in a perfect spot, directly across from the beach and close to good restaurants and seafood places. My room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and professional. Check-in and checkout were both quick and easy. I could’ve spent ages watching the waves from that spectacular view. I’ll definitely be back!
