The windows are small and face a construction site, and the place was terribly dirty. Even after the bed linen was changed, I got bitten all over my body, apparently by ticks. I wouldn’t stay here at any price.

I was already in Da Nang when I got an email, a day before check-in, saying my prepaid booking would be cancelled because the hotel was overbooked. They claimed the elevator was broken, so I went over to check. It was working fine. I was furious and left without saying anything. If you book here, you can only cross your fingers and hope they don’t cancel on you.

The room was clean and the location is great, just five minutes from the beach. But it had no window or hot water, and construction next door went on constantly. It started at 6am and even interrupted afternoon naps.

You get what you pay for. It’s not luxurious, but it was clean enough for me, with no mould or anything like that. Reception staff were consistently good. I had hot water for about 90% of the showers I wanted to take. Room cleaning was decent rather than excellent. They replaced the sheets and towels and left two small bottles of water.

Everything is close to May Beach Hotel, especially the beach. The long, wide beachside walk is only five minutes away.
