The location was okay, and the receptionist who checked us in was helpful with our questions. The mattress was comfortable, and we got a small bottle of water, but there wasn't much else to appreciate. We walked in and were shown two rooms. The smaller one had no window and a strong smell, so that was an immediate no. The larger room had a window, a bigger bed, and seemed better at first. We took it for 550,000vnd, then paid another 100,000 for early check-in, which felt a little cheeky, though it's not much money from a European perspective. After a while, the sheets and duvet felt slightly damp, almost sticky. An odor became noticeable and then hard to ignore. Looking more closely, the room seemed like a grotty, damp space that was just clean enough not to stand out in a quick inspection. We both woke with tense heads, as if we'd been drinking all night, though neither of us had been drinking on this trip. We suspect there may have been mold in the room and air ducting system. We'd read about mold in many Da Nang properties and experienced it during our first stay here.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, and it was very good value. The location is great, just a short walk from the Dragon Bridge. My son and I stayed for a few days while visiting Danang, and we'd stay here again.

Really nice, clean rooms and the whole place looked well kept. The staff were great too. It's quiet, but still close to the action. Maybe we'll come back, who knows. Can definitely recommend it.

The location is good, and that's the only positive. The photos on Google must be from when the hotel first opened. The place is very outdated, and the mildew smell is overwhelming.

Tuong at the front reception was great. He arranged a taxi to the airport and explained the fare and airport toll. The hotel is in a great location, and our room, though a little dated, was clean and very comfortable. The shower over the bath was awkward because stepping into the tub felt quite slippery. It wouldn't be practical for elderly guests or people with mobility issues. We'd definitely stay at the Mercury again, but might ask for a room without a shower over the bath, if they have one.
