Minh Hưng Apartment

A great place to stay.

After I paid for a Suite with City View, the host said it had sold out and offered a Two-Bedroom apartment for extra money. I went ahead based on the photos, but they looked heavily filtered or years out of date. The apartment was on the ground floor, with just one small window looking onto a dark backyard and no natural light. Its entrance was beside a shared toilet. The host said the room had cost more than my original booking, though its actual price was lower. When I contacted Booking support to cancel, the manager still insisted on full payment for the first night plus extras and called it a "prime location." The next day, I found a beachfront apartment for half the price. This felt like a bait and switch. Stay away.

We picked this apartment on a taxi driver's recommendation, and the photos looked good. My husband went ahead and agreed to the deal without me. When I arrived, I had to clean up tangles of someone else's hair. The photos are very old, and the apartment is really worn out. At least the first night was quiet, with no construction. Today, though, I can't sleep with my baby at 10:45 PM. It's hell. The bathroom has smelled like cigarettes all evening for some reason, and there's a counter outside the window. I'm furious, to put it mildly. They're asking $50 a night for this. We only got it down to $28 by renting for a week, but now I just want to leave the remaining rubles, towels, and cleaning supplies and move out.

The room was incredibly quiet, which I really appreciated during my comfortable six-month stay. The cleaning lady came every week and was very kind. I often forgot my key card, and the landlord always took special care of me. I was very grateful.
