Ngo Homestay

Walking was my preference since everything was close enough, though there are bicycles for rent. It works well for a one-night stay because it’s not too far from Hoi An Old town. They had all the essentials ready, but the bathroom felt very narrow and small. My ground-floor room was also next to a main door that slammed loudly. Wi-Fi was weak, and my Vinaphone phone signal only reached 3G there.

I spent seven days here and had no complaints. It’s part of a family home, and I liked the simple feel of the place and how kind and friendly everyone was. Laundry service was great, linens were changed every two days, and I could get fresh towels whenever I needed them. The rooms have AC and fans that worked really well. The area is very humid, so keep that in mind if humidity bothers you. It’s a very affordable budget option, and I plan to stay here again when I visit.

I expected to spend a week in Hoi An and ended up staying five. Loan was the reason. She’s one of the most amazing people I’ve met, always doing what she could to help and being honest when she couldn’t. She arranged things for me and was consistently polite, kind, respectful, and friendly. I felt right at home, and the rest of the staff were helpful with laundry and anything else I needed. Ngo Homestay is close enough to walk to whatever you might need, and my room looked out over the neighborhood. There’s also a nice pool, plus bicycles to rent for exploring the city, rice fields, or the beach, about 60 min away. I HIGHLY recommend staying here and know I’ll come back whenever I’m in Vietnam. Loan’s activity tips were phenomenal. We tried nearly everything she suggested, since it was already what we wanted to do, and her recommendations for tailoring, food, and a cooking class were very good. The location is super convenient, with the Old Town, night market, day market, and river side all very close. The room was nice and had everything I wanted, including a separate shower in the bathroom. It was a good place to sleep.
