Ocean Villa Danang Beach

Our apartment in Tower B was decent, but nowhere near the standard of a 4 or 5 star hotel. The place was peaceful overall, and security was visible even late at night. Service was attentive and the facilities were quite good. During our four nights, I saw staff cleaning the pool more than once. We also checked out Fusion next door, which really is 5 star level.

The property is beautiful and the welcome at check in was warm and friendly. The first part of our stay went well, though the in villa BBQ was just fine for the price, nothing especially memorable or wow, but it worked for a relaxing night in. Our last day was frustrating. We called for a buggy well ahead of time, but it took 30 minutes to arrive, so we missed breakfast. We tried the gym instead, but it was locked and there was no staff member around to open it, so we had to run back to our villa. Then we waited another 30 minutes for a buggy when checking out. The lovely start to the stay didn’t make up for the unreliable transport and facility access at the end. Service needs to be more consistent.

I only came here for a friend’s wedding, not to stay, and the resort did a great job. I usually don’t expect much from large, generic resorts, but the food was excellent. The Vietnamese menu included fresh and fried spring rolls, mango salad, soup, tiger prawns, barramundi, and roasted chicken. Everything was well seasoned, and the meat was cooked until tender. Even when things got busy, the staff were patient and accommodating.

The apartments are big and spacious, and the quiet, peaceful setting is a plus. You’ll need a car to get around since it’s not near town. Before arrival, the place sends a lot of messages asking you to confirm check in, checkout, breakfast, and arrival times. Tony, the apartment supervisor, seems to be on call 24/7 and replies to messages instantly.
