Saclo Villa and Hostel

The room was very clean, with nice A/C and an ensuite bathroom, though the mattress felt a bit thin to me. The owner Lyna and her husband were great at helping guests with tips, bookings and dinners. It’s a pretty unique hostel, a bit outside Hoi An Downtown, so it’s quiet but still an easy walk. Would recommend!

We liked having a friendly, social feel without it turning into a party hostel. Our private room was spotless, with daily cleaning, and the place is in a quiet spot. With a motorbike, getting to the old town was pretty quick. Lyna was great at keeping on top of things and checking everyone had what they needed. We also had some lovely chats with her and the other guests. Highly recommend!

Lyna and the staff made the place feel more like a warm family homestay than just a hostel. On our last day, she invited us to a home-cooked family lunch, and she even came with us to the tailors to help sort out our clothes. She’s friendly and sociable, knows a lot about hospitality and tours, and gave us useful local tips while making sure we felt safe in Vietnam. The cooking class was incredible, the accommodation was clean and lovely, and the banana pancakes were the best. We also enjoyed the setting: it’s right by the rice paddies, with a lovely walking route, about a 20-minute walk from the old town and a 20-minute cycle to the beach. Lyna’s suggestion of Hidden Beach was a great one. We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have been better looked after. Would absolutely recommend. Thank you so much!

Every evening, Lyna invites guests to a family dinner, which made it easy to meet other backpackers. The atmosphere felt warm, social, and genuine. We stayed in a private room for four nights, and it was comfortable, clean, and a pleasure to come back to. Lyna, her family, and the staff welcomed us so kindly that we felt at home almost straight away. They made breakfast and coffee each morning and were glad to help with recommendations or practical arrangements. Saclo Hostel was easily our favourite place on the trip. If you’re visiting Hoi An as a backpacker, I’d highly recommend staying here.
