Sekong Apartment

The pool was a real highlight, since it’s long enough for a proper swim. The building shades it much of the day, though you can catch some sun at certain times. We stayed for two weeks and found the room spacious, with a very comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, and good internet. It was clean, and I loved looking out at the herb and flower garden across the way. The street is quiet, with places to eat and drink nearby on Morrison and Loseby streets. Having a free laundry in the basement was a big plus, aside from buying detergent. I hope to stay here again.

The sauna is good and hot, the pool is okay with a nice view, and there’s a parking area for motorbikes and an elevator. At 855k per night, this can be a reasonable apartment if you manage to book it. I’d stayed here before and liked the place for the price, but trying to arrange a month this time was a bad experience. The owner might reply, but sometimes only every two hours. While I waited, another guest booked the same room for one week during the month we wanted. His proposed fix was to move us four times in that month. He doesn’t seem to understand basic maths or customer service. The gym is terrible. The picture shows when he finally replied, after six hours of me trying to reach him.

The rooftop pool is lovely, with comfortable loungers and a beautiful view. The apartment itself is large, with comfortable beds, a separate roomy shower, and a huge storage cupboard. It’s about two minutes from the lively bars and restaurants and close to the beach. The kitchen was short on utensils for cooking, with only one knife, though they brought a toaster the day after we asked. They still wouldn’t provide drinking glasses despite our request.

This is my second stay at Sekong Apartments, and I’m enjoying it just as much. Mr. Hung and his team have been wonderful. Mr. Hung helped arrange apartment 502 for me, with its ocean view, and made sure it would be mine for the three months I’m staying. Thank you to everyone.
