It’s close to the walking street, with lots of pubs and bars. The hostel room was good and clean, the air conditioning worked well, and a hot shower helped us recover after travelling. The staff were lovely and spoke English very well. Ngar, the girl I met, was especially nice. She gave me great tips for travelling around Hue and offered tour packages without pressuring me.

We had four lovely days travelling with Sand Tony from Stop & Go Tours, around Danang and Hoi An. Sand was friendly and smiling throughout, took photos for us, and even brought us to see our relatives in Hue. I’d definitely recommend Stop & Go, and I’d choose Sand as my guide again on my next vacation.

It's noisy, and the grumpy maid does a poor job. Laundry at 80 thousand dong is too expensive. The owner is nice, though.

We only meant to stay one day, but ended up adding another. The room was clean, airy, and spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen and oven. The host was friendly and gave us home-pressed olive oil, homemade bread, vegetables from the garden, and chicken they raised themselves. The setting was peaceful. Driving through the mountain pass, we saw olive groves and sometimes had to stop for herds of mountain goats. In the morning, we woke to a rooster crowing and watched sheep wandering around. Wonderful.
