I spent nine nights at TA Boutique Hotel Danang and would happily return when I visit Da Nang. Breakfast for two came to my room each morning, and they also provided daily housekeeping and an airport shuttle. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, especially Ming&Fu, who were so kind 🙏. My family room had a large bed plus a separate room with a floor mattress. It was comfortable and well equipped with a washing machine, big fridge, kitchen area, swimming pool, and a nice place to work. The mattress wasn't very supportive and gave me some back pain, though, and noise from upstairs and the water pipes could be a bit disturbing for light sleepers.

We spent three weeks based here. Room 601 was right under the pool, which worked perfectly for us since it was close by and usually empty, so it felt almost private. The mattress was a little soft but still supportive, just how we like it. The concrete bathtub was enormous and took ages to fill, no lie, a small child could swim in it. There isn't really anywhere to lounge around the pool on a lazy day. There are two beds, but not enough space to move them. On very hot days, the cleaning lady would turn off our aircon, so we had to run it at 16c for 12 hours to bring the room down from 40c to bearable, even though we usually kept it at 25c in eco mode. That felt like a false economy. Breakfast is delivered to the room from a limited menu. There were no coffee varieties, and the juice tasted like cordial.

Everything felt quiet and relaxing, and getting around was easy from this convenient spot near restaurants and attractions. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. The staff were lovely and always willing to help. It was great value for the price and better than I expected. I'd gladly come back and recommend it.

The first day of my trip here made such a bad impression that I left thinking I might never visit Vietnam again. The room had a strong mold smell, and the washing machine held lukewarm water and a kitchen mop. Someone had left yoppellet and chocolate in the fridge, whose bottom was damaged. The room wasn't properly cleaned either. The worst issue was the shower. Water suddenly stopped while I was bathing. I found that when the washing machine on another floor was being used, the pressure in my second-floor room dropped so low that the water only dripped. I couldn't wash properly. I asked about switching rooms, but the staff called a repairman and told me to wait without apologizing, leaving us stuck in the room for three hours. He replaced the showerhead, but that didn't fix the pressure. I was told a room change might be possible a day later. When I asked again, they said the hotel was full and offered a refund if I left. It was Saturday night, I couldn't find another hotel in a hurry, and the booking site's cancellation terms meant only a full refund, so I paid cash for Saturday and stayed in that room. After more than four stressful hours talking with staff, the problem still wasn't solved. I got no compensation and felt they were annoyed with me. I also couldn't sleep well because a dog on a balcony in the next building, less than a meter from our room on the same floor, kept barking and crying. The hotel said there was nothing they could do. I don't expect a friendly reception, but if a room's water pressure is too weak for a shower or washing, guests shouldn't be booked into it.

The place has a cool, unique theme and furniture, and it's near all the good tourist spots. But the room and elevator smelled musty, while the bathroom smelled like rat pee. I got sick on my second day here.
