The Herriott Hotel & Suite Danang

The rooms were dirty, the staff were rude and insulting, and the air conditioner didn’t work. After we repeatedly asked for a room with working AC, they told us to find another hotel because all the rooms were full. Don’t trust the four-star rating, it’s likely bought.

The room was fine, but the receptionist’s behavior spoiled the stay. She told me, “you go to check the room now,” without any politeness, even after I’d said the towers were on the sofa and asked her to confirm. She kept insisting that I go check. When I went upstairs, the towers were right there on the sofa. I was angry about her attitude, and she didn’t apologize. Instead, she blamed housekeeping. The service was extremely bad, unlike anything I’ve experienced. I have pictures and videos of what happened and will give the hotel 0 points on Agoda and Google Maps. Room 505, stayed February 13th-14th. Checked out at 11:55 am Feb. 14th.

The counter staff were friendly and helpful, and there are lots of good food and coffee spots nearby. The beach is only about a ten-minute walk away. I stayed eight nights, though the rooms felt underwhelming for the price. They may have looked like the photos five years ago, but now the furniture seems questionable and the rooms are old and dirty.

The staff were lovely during our stay, but that was about the only good part. The hotel feels run down, the AC barely works, and the old photos on booking apps don’t show its current state. For the price, it isn’t worth it. You can find a nicer hotel for less.
