The Saga Hotel Hoi An

Be careful to choose the room that fits your budget and comfort needs. Options range from small budget rooms, some of which may have a window facing a wall, to plush suites overlooking the pool and bar. We arrived with a tour group and were given a room that didn't match the tour operator's description. The hotel's customer service was excellent, though, and we moved to a different, more expensive room on the second day. Both rooms we had at least had comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good, with lots of Vietnamese dishes and some American and European favorites. The bar by the pool is in a separate block with the spa and small gym. We tried the bar, which was reasonably priced for Vietnam, but had one slow-service issue that was resolved by the excellent staff. We didn't try the spa or gym. There are paid activities like cooking and lantern making, but we used the free shuttle to a beach club and back instead. The facilities there were free. The hotel has a range of room types, a very good breakfast, reasonable facilities, and shuttles to the beach and town. I recommend it, as long as you choose your room carefully.

The pool was a welcome way to cool down after our daily walks around Hoi An. Saga Hotel was a little way from the historic downtown, but we could walk there in about 20 minutes, and the distance helped us balance out all the good food. Our suite was wonderful, the complex was beautiful, and the price was low. The staff were super friendly, and we enjoyed the food and drinks. Huong at reception was especially kind, attentive, and sweet. When my wife's bike tire went flat on the way to the beach, we called the hotel on WhatsApp. They sent a car and driver to pick us up where we were, at the time we requested. We also got a free ride to Da Nang airport on our last day, which I think came with the suite. We loved every minute of our stay. Thanks for making our Hoi An visit even better, Saga Hotel!

The staff were warm and welcoming, and they helped us book excursions as well as the Hoi An Memories show. We were upgraded to a better room, and the service was impeccable. Breakfast had a remarkable range of choices. For my birthday, they even brought a cake to our room. This was probably one of the best hotels we've stayed at. We highly recommend The Saga Hotel in Hoi An.

The Saga Hotel in Hoi An was just as beautiful as it looked in the photos, and our stay was perfect. We left laundry there in the evening and got it back clean the next morning. The walk into town is nice, and there's also a shuttle or Grab if you'd rather not walk. We'd definitely return! 😍
