Wyndham Danang Golden Bay

I want to thank the team for the excellent service and lunch buffet they gave our pickleball club a few weeks ago. The food was outstanding, beautifully laid out and well lit, with appetizers, mains and desserts, plus a very nice beverage station. It was Western-style food with some Vietnamese flair, and it was replenished continually. The waitstaff looked after us wonderfully from the moment we arrived until we left. I also want to apologize to the young woman who collected payment at the table. One person argued that he shouldn’t have to pay because he hadn’t eaten, and I’m sorry to say our pickleball host argued with her too. After 40 years in the resort, restaurant and wine business, including 22 years in banquets, I’ve dealt with plenty of difficult people. I’m sorry our group behaved so poorly. Thank you for your time.

The location is a little removed from My Khe Beach and the busy food areas downtown, so it seems better suited to a quiet staycation than exploring on foot. Still, Golden Bay Da Nang is one of the most impressive hotels I’ve stayed at in Da Nang. The rooftop infinity pool is the standout, with sweeping views of the Han River, Thuan Phuoc Bridge and the coast. Sunset and nighttime are especially beautiful. My room was spacious, clean and modern, with elegant golden details that didn’t feel overdone. The bed was comfortable, the soundproofing decent, and the city view at night was relaxing. Breakfast had a wide choice of Vietnamese and Western food. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The lobby looks luxurious and is a popular place for photos. If you enjoy beautiful city views, luxury spaces and a peaceful atmosphere, it’s worth experiencing.

The infinity pool on the 29th floor was the highlight for me. Swimming up there with the panoramic city and sea view was breathtaking. We also had a special occasion during our stay, and the team made a complimentary decoration just as we asked. That made it memorable. Wyndham Danang Golden Bay has beautiful sea-facing views and photogenic rooms. The service, food and hospitality were all really good. Indian food choices are limited, but it’s easy to order through Grab. It was a comfortable, peaceful stay, and I’d recommend it if you like scenic views.

I slept better here than almost anywhere else on the trip, thanks to the quiet location away from the bustle. It’s not too far from everything, and the hotel offers a free shuttle to those places. It’s also closer to the Lady Buddha (Goddess of Mercy). The views were lovely, and service was great. My room was the biggest, cleanest and nicest one I had during two weeks in Vietnam. It was massive and had a balcony view. Other things I liked were the free Korean-style sauna with 9 different types of rooms, the best free breakfast, the rooftop pool, and the sky bar for views and snacks. At around $100 CAD a night, it was well worth the value. If I visit Da Nang again, I’d stay here for at least half my trip, if not all of it.
